Welcome to Portnoy & Tu, DDS, PC! We moved into our new Okemos Office in August of 2019. The new building is designed with our patients' comfort, privacy, and safety in mind while providing exceptional services and state of the art technologies.
We have always practice Universal Infection Control for every patients that are set by the Centers Disease Control and Prevention to prevent the spread of disease. We care about your safety and work hard to prevent the spread of infection. We wiped down and disinfected all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and countertops and set up protective barriers before you enter into the operatory room. We replaced protective barriers (disposable) after each patient. Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposable dental tools and needles are never reused. Infection control precautions also require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns and eyewear when needed. After each patient, disposable gloves and masks are thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and put on a new pair of gloves.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic protocol, we will be taking patient's temperature and ask to wash hands after entering our operatory room.
